WHY WE GIVE
Giving to missions is providing the financial support needed for missions work being conducted by members of a church and through cooperative missions giving efforts with other churches and missions entities, which embraces the biblical concept of giving and cooperative giving. Financial support of missions is enhanced through learning about missions, praying for missions, and engaging in missions.
We have numerous opportunities for you to provide support in the areas that you feel God calling you to be a part of such as: supporting the day-to-day operations of WMU of Texas, contributing to the various Texas Baptists missions and ministries that touch lives around the state, helping send students to college through scholarships, or supporting the ministries of WMU of Texas.
We invite you to take the step and support missions financially. Contact us at (214) 828-5150 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
HOW DO I GIVE?
Several safe and secure methods of giving provide convenient ways to offer our offerings and financially contribute to WMU of Texas.
- WMU of Texas events: Simply place cash or checks in the offering bag during the collection at any WMU event. Be sure to include your name and address on the check or envelope, so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes. According to policy, the offerings taken at WMU events can only be applied to the Mary Hill Davis Offering or to the Touch Tomorrow Today endowment.
- Online giving: Online giving allows for a specific dollar amount to be deducted automatically from a checking or savings account. You can set up online giving either as a one-time donation or a recurring gift. Online giving is not only easy, it's also safe and secure. This option helps individuals and families remain faithful in their giving even when they are out of town or unable to attend a WMU event. > Give Online

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® is an annual offering collected by believers around the world to support international missions. The offering was officially named in 1918 by Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially. This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world.

In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU’s first national executive leader. Today, more than $1 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals.
