How to Plan Ahead for the Week of Prayer for Texas Missions

The time is now to begin planning for the 2022 Week of Prayer and the Mary Hill Davis Offering® (MHDO) for Texas Missions. Here are five promotional ideas to begin planning now.

The Week of Prayer is observed September 11-18, 2022. However, you may use the current or previous year's promotional materials at any time during the year. You can also give to the offering year-round through your church or online at iamtexasmissions.org/give.

Save the Date

Set the Week of Prayer date on your church and associational calendars.

Create a Leadership Team

• Church leaders: Plan ahead by creating an MHDO leadership team. Pray and set an offering goal. Visit iamtexasmissions.org for promotional ideas.
• Associations: Provide information when available about materials and speakers from the WMU of Texas office or Texas Baptists. Encourage MHDO promotions on the associational website and during their meetings. Thank your Director of Missions for supporting the Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions. Order Materials

Beginning July 1, the 2022 materials (posters, envelopes, and prayer guides) will be available to order for shipping. Promotional, study materials and additional resources will be available for download at iamtexasmissions.org/order.

Promote the Week of Prayer

Take advantage of the communication channels available at your church and association. Share the I am Texas Missions graphics in your bulletin, worship screens, group meetings, and more. Begin promoting I am Texas Missions now across your social media platforms. If you follow WMU of Texas ([at]wmuoftexas) or the Mary Hill Davis Offering ([at]iamtexasmissions) on Facebook for promotional ideas and updates.

Pray for Texas Baptists Ministries & Missionaries

Begin praying today for the ministries that will receive allocations from the 2022 Mary Hill Davis Offering.
