Eula Mae Henderson Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The Eula Mae Henderson Memorial Scholarship Endowment was created in 1986 in memory of Miss Henderson, who served 34 years as the executive leader of WMU of Texas. This endowment provides scholarships for women pursuing a career in WMU or in missions who are enrolled in graduate study at designated schools in Texas.

Eligible Institutions:

At least two scholarships will be awarded each year (fall semester) to women enrolled in graduate work at:

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, Texas)

Truett Theological Seminary (Waco, Texas)

Baylor University School of Social Work (Waco, Texas)

Dallas Baptist University (Dallas, Texas)

Student Eligibility:

To apply, a woman must be a full-time student in at least her second semester of graduate work, and give evidence of:

A commitment to a career in vocational Christian ministry
- in Baptist missions/ministries, or
- in state or national work with WMU

A social moral character.

Active in a Baptist General Convention of Texas church and/or a Baptist church giving to the Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions or WMU of Texas.

A grade point average of 3.0 or above.

Classification as a full-time student by the institution.

A need for financial assistance.

Applications are available through WMU of Texas below or from eligible institutions.

Applications must be postmarked and returned to WMU of Texas by January 15 for the subsequent fall semester.
