2017 HIGHLIGHTED MINISTRIES

Since its beginning 20 years ago, CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S JOB CORPS® has existed to prepare women for life and employment in a mission context where women are mentored and nurtured. CWJC seeks to minister to women who are living in some form of poverty, be it personal, spiritual, or professional. They come from all walks of life: stay-at-home moms who need to improve their work skills, women coming from a background of physical or emotional abuse, those recovering from addictions, and from a multitude of other places. The women are searching for “something,” and for many, they have no idea what that “something” is.

It is estimated that 30,000 refugees live within a three-mile section of north Dallas. Over 30 different languages are spoken. The needs are diverse and so is the community.

It is projected that within the next 25 years over 78% of Texans will live in a region called the Texas Triangle with the corners being Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.

An incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with those who might never hear has landed on our doorsteps. BAPTIST STUDENT MINISTRY [BSM] is working diligently to spread the word of God to these students.
