The search committee of Woman’s Missionary Union of Texas has entered the next step in the hiring process for the next executive director-treasurer for WMU of Texas.

Following an extensive period of input from WMU of Texas staff and constituents that included a survey completed by WMU leaders, directors of missions, Texas Baptist leadership and others, the search committee is now open to receiving recommendations and resumes for potential candidates.

We simply want God to guide us to His choice for this significant leadership role, and we know that Texas Baptists share that desire and are praying to that end,” according to search committee chairperson, Barbara Springer.

WMU of Texas is currently under the capable leadership of interim executive director-treasurer, Carolyn Porterfield which allows the search committee the time needed to complete the search process.

The committee requests a letter of recommendation with resume be sent electronically to Chairperson Barbara Springer at mawmaw0210@gmail.com. No consideration will be given to a recommendation without letter and resume.

A nominee or candidate should be a woman who has demonstrated strong and productive experience of missions advocacy, leadership, and personal missions experience. View the job description below for more insight into this position.
