Out of the devastation and division created by World War II, European women began a healing process by instituting a day of prayer in 1948. The idea grew and now on the first Monday of November each year, the Baptist World Alliance Women’s Department challenges women across the globe to pray for one another.

Once every five years each of seven continental unions comprising the Women’s Department have regional meetings for a time of worship, learning, and serving. We are part of the North American Baptist Women’s Union (NABWU). WMU of Texas will join with Baptist women from across Canada and the United States on

OCTOBER 19-22, 2017 at the DELTA TORONTO EAST HOTEL in TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA to focus on NEW DREAMS.

This amazing experience is being planned by young women for women of all ages. The meeting will include worship times, workshops, panel discussions, and involvement in the NABWU’s human trafficking initiative. Chameleon Jo Productions will present Expendable, a musical drama on human trafficking.
